About The Project
Baillieston Community Care are an award-winning, not-for-profit social care provider based in Glasgow, Scotland, and has been a long-term partner of Nexus on a wide range of web & digital projects.
As their established organisation expands to offer more community-focused services, Baillieston Community Care required a redevelopment of their website, which we originally designed in 2017. The new website needed to reflect their modern values, showcase their new services, and provide essential information for their service users. A key focus of this redevelopment was to highlight their care technology and digital tech den—innovative solutions that empower both care service providers and service users with devices designed to simplify their everyday life and unique challenges.

Our Design Process
We began the website redesign project by collaborating with the client to collect new media and establish a basic framework for the content on the new pages. This data enabled us to build the foundation for the new homepage and menu layout, ensuring that all key information was prominently highlighted.
To enhance the website's aesthetics, we incorporated stylish new fonts and banners featuring a Ken Burns effect, which adds a dynamic touch by slowly panning and zooming on sliding images. In addition to the homepage and new pages, we implemented small design improvements throughout the site to provide a seamless experience.

Project Completion & Launch
Before the launch, we shared a preview of the website with the client to confirm their satisfaction with the final design.
As our design team published the new version of the website, our marketing team ensured that all Google Tag Manager tracking codes were set up to monitor various user interactions, including clicks to call, donations, and form submissions. This implementation included the integration of Cookiebot and Google Consent Mode v2, ensuring that all tracking is conducted in a consensual, privacy-focused manner.
