Brief
About The Project
Established in 1998, Belltrees Forge is a traditional forge located in Scotland that is ran by artisan blacksmiths who hand forge high quality lighting, furniture and other unique metalworks.
Supplying B2C (business to customer) and B2B (business to business) customers, Belltrees required an eCommerce website that would allow them to sell their products to both groups of customers and in particular, they required the facility to sell to B2B customers at discounted prices that only those customers could view.

Our Design Process
Having operated on eCommerce software that was reaching end of life, we redesigned Belltrees on Shopify. Following our brief with the client, we accessed their existing website to export all product data and reconfigured the information to import the product list onto Shopify. From there we began organising the menu structure and product collections on a premium Shopify theme that was customised with some of the clients unique features from their previous eCommerce website
Throughout the design we kept as many of the previous website’s elements as possible; using the same colour schemes and block-like layout that Belltrees Forge customers were familiar with. We also integrated a B2B app that would allow specific logged-in customers see exclusive trade discounts, as well as an application form for new businesses to apply for a trade account. At this stage we shared a final preview of the website with the client to go over and approve.

Results
Project Launch & Completion
We booked a Teams screensharing call with the client to go over their additional requests and made the changes then and there to show the client how easy it will be to update their Shopify website. We also used the opportunity to provide further training, advice and recommendations.
Once live, we completed the launch with the integration of Google Shopping and Facebook apps, as well as an Instagram social media feed on their homepage to boost their following. Since the Shopify website has went live we have remained in contact with Belltrees to continue offering support.
